Today we celebrate 20 years in business as Collinsville Family dentistry.
While it doesn’t seem like it’s been all that many years we have packed a lot in. I remember the day I went to sign those papers to buy the office from dr Emerson, I was only 3 months out from having my first baby and I was a mixture of excited, petrified and nauseous. The office that I bought bores little resemblance to the office you see now, we have rebuilt it all…the brick and mortar, the technology, the emotional bonds cultivated between co workers and patients. Construction, construction, soooo much construction. While I’m very proud of how the building looks and functions I am the most proud of all the relationships with the people who come through these doors. Some stay a short while and others are part of the fabric but they have all left their mark. I have enjoyed being part of all their lives, watching their children grow, celebrating milestones and being there when needed through bad times. I personally have also benefited from them reciprocating this support to me. We have celebrated babies, marriages, applying for schools, we have picked each others children up from school, we have supported through deaths and hard parts of life. It might not always be the same group of people but it has been the same love. When you own a business it is not just your 8-5 job it is your life and I…..have had a good one!!! Thank you to all who have been part of it.
