It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our founding senior dentist, Dr. Jim Bishop with our friends and patients of Collins Family Dental Care.

Dr. Bishop began practicing in Collins in 1975 after graduating from Emory University School of Dentistry. In 1980, he moved his practice from Main Street to its current location, where it has continued to serve the community for decades.

A beloved member of the Collins community, Dr. Bishop cared for patients in Collins and the surrounding areas for 50 years. He was an active member of the Collins Rotary Club and served as its President from 1984–1985.

In recent years, Dr. Bishop devoted his time and talents to caring for those in need at the Edwards Street Fellowship Health Clinic. He was a cherished mentor, colleague, and friend, and he will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts, prayers, and love are with his wife, Dee; his children, Kelley, John, and Katie; his siblings; and his grandchildren during this difficult time.
