This transformation wasn’t just about creating a beautiful smile with porcelain veneers, it was also about correcting her bite.

Because she came to us with existing TMJ pain, establishing a healthier, more balanced bite was an important part of her treatment. All That Glitters ✨

This patient had a beautiful smile before but wanted a change that felt more like herself. She visited with Dr. Friedman and shared she wanted to show more teeth when she smiled.

Dr. Friedman placed upper 10 minimum prep porcelain veneers utilizing lisi porcelain created with his master ceramist. This veneer technique is not utilized by all cosmetic dentists because it is more difficult to create and design.

Lisi porcelain brings a lifelike translucency and depth that beautifully mimics natural enamel. It’s why Dr. Friedman utilizes it in his smile designs and cosmetic restorations, because beautiful dentistry should look like teeth, not dentistry.🤍

Full Mouth Reconstruction Is All About the Foundation ✨

When we’re doing a full mouth reconstruction case, we’re not just placing beautiful porcelain on the front of teeth. There is so much more happening behind the smile.

Sometimes that means opening a patient’s bite and creating a new, ideal bite position. A bite that gives us better symmetry and aesthetics, but more importantly, better function and longevity.

Where the teeth come together, how the jaw and joints function, the proportions of the smile, and how everything works together all matter. The goal isn’t just a beautiful smile. It’s a smile that is designed to function well, feel comfortable, and last a lifetime.

This is where experience matters. Knowing when to open a bite, how much to open it, and how to rebuild the teeth around that new position takes careful planning and an understanding of the entire mouth and face, not just the teeth you see when someone smiles.
