What if your child's crowded teeth were actually connected to their sleep, their behavior, even bedwetting?

Dr. John sat down with Jason Tierney and Dr. Erin Elliott on the Sleep Matters Podcast, and this conversation is one every parent should hear! He talks about the moment everything shifted for him, when he realized that what looks like a healthy smile on the outside might actually be hiding a struggling airway. And what started happening when he began treating it earlier?

Kids breathing through their noses, sleeping better, behaving differently. Once you see it, you really can't unsee it.

💤 Did you know that children snoring, though cute and endearing, is often the first sign of airway issues? If you have concerns contact us for a FREE AIRWAY EVALUATION 💤

Does your child snore, mouth breathe, or seem restless at night? Their jaw might have something to do with it 😮

The way it grows actually shapes their airway, their breathing, and even their sleep. When we see narrow arches or crowded teeth early on, it can mean the airway is narrow too.

Between the ages of four and seven, there's a really important window where we can guide that growth, open things up, and help kids breathe better through their nose. It makes a bigger difference than most people realize!

If any of that sounds familiar, or you've just been curious about your child's jaw development, give our team a call. We're always happy to answer questions 🤗

Did you know it's National Dental Care Month? 🎉 And here's something most parents don't realize about pediatric dentistry…

When your child comes in for a visit, we're looking at so much more than just their teeth! We're paying attention to how they're growing, how they're breathing, and how they're sleeping, because it's all connected. An airway issue can show up as trouble sleeping or behavioral changes.

A tongue tie can make nursing feel impossible. And the way their teeth and jaw are developing can shape how they feel about themselves for years to come. That's what wholistic pediatric dental care really means. It's not just about cavities. It's about understanding how your child's oral health impacts their whole life. Swipe through to see what we mean 👉

If you've ever wondered whether something bigger might be going on with your child's breathing, sleep, or development, we'd love to talk it through!

Did you know your child's dentist might be one of the first to notice signs of sleep-disordered breathing? 👀

Dr. John recently sat down with Jason Tierney and Dr. Erin Elliott on the Sleep Matters Podcast to talk about something really important: how pediatric dentistry is shifting beyond cavities and cleanings to recognizing early signs of airway and sleep issues in kids.

Because here's the thing, we see your kids every six months starting as early as age one. That means we're often in a position to notice things before anyone else does.

This conversation is so worth a listen if you've ever wondered about mouth breathing, snoring, or sleep issues in your child.

There are lots of dentists who see kids… but a pediatric dentist spends two extra years training specifically for them!

That training is focused entirely on children 👧 👦 how their teeth grow, how their jaws develop, and how to help kids feel comfortable and confident during visits. Here’s what that specialized training often means for your child:

🦷 Experts in baby teeth, big kid teeth, and everything in between
🦷 Kid-friendly care that helps nervous kiddos feel relaxed and supported
🦷 Training in facial growth and development as kids grow
🦷 An environment designed just for kids
