SAME DAY CROWNS!

Schmitt Family Dentistry can now offer same day crowns for the vast majority of cases! No more temporary crowns and having to come back for a second appointment 2-3 weeks later.

With the Glidewell IO Fastmill we can design and mill ~95% of cases in the office while you wait. The entire appointment from arrival to leaving with your brand new crown takes only 2 hours. Multiple crowns or a bridge will take longer, but will likely be ready the next day--not 3 weeks

What is the appointment like?
Dr Schmitt administers anesthetic to numb your tooth then shapes it. This part takes about 30 minutes. Next your teeth are scanned. The scan is sent to our design center where we design your crown to get the perfect bite, contacts, and contours. Our mill then turns a block of porcelain into a beautiful crown to cover your tooth. This portion takes about an hour. You are free to watch TV, play on your phone, or even leave and come back during this time. The crown is cemented on your tooth and you are done.
