Immediately after earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2016, Dr. Tonkin relocated to the Capital Region and completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Albany, N.Y.. She then joined the 1st Advantage Dental Niskayuna team, where she practiced general and cosmetic dentistry prior to her current role at Advanced Dentistry of Clifton Park. Dr. Tonkin is a member of the American Dental Association, The New York State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. A native of West Virginia, Dr. Tonkin is a proud alum of Marshall University and WVU and is an active alumni member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. She lives in Niskayuna with her husband Zach and toddler son Carter.

🎀💗 Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗🎀

At Advanced Dentistry of Clifton Park, Dr. Katie Tonkin and our entire team are proud to support a cause that touches so many lives. This cause is especially close to Dr. Tonkin’s heart, as her own mom also battled breast cancer. 💕

This month, we are honored to donate $1,000 to the American Cancer Society for a special grandmother in our community, lovingly known by many as “Mimi.” 💗

We are proud to support Mimi’s Pink Hope Club and stand alongside her and everyone whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. We believe in the power of community, compassion, and coming together to spread hope and make a difference.

Mimi is very close to reaching her fundraising goal for this Sundays walk ~ Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and we are honored to help support her efforts.
