Our team was honored to volunteer with for Jolly Merry Christmas, where we helped serve 80 foster families and 324 children. Being part of something so impactful reminded us that the greatest gifts are time, compassion, and showing up for our community.

My name is Dr. Dani Gray and I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2009 with a degree in psychology where I was a NCA champion cheerleader. I stayed busy, cheering for the UofL Men’s basketball and football teams, and earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2013. One of my proudest moments was winning the Occlusal Award at the University of Louisville. It enabled me to go to Miami and learn at the Pankey Institution to expand my knowledge on TMJ disorders.
Following my career at the University of Louisville, I served as an associate dentist at practices in St. Louis, Missouri and Clarksville, Tennessee before joining Smith Dental in 2015. I gained the experience of building a brand new dental office from the ground up at Smith Dental and realized I had a lot of patients travel from Kentucky to see me. So I thought, why not build a dental home for patients in need? Now, I’m on this amazing journey of having my own practice, Renew Dental, and making my dream practice come to life.
Ironically, I experience dental anxiety myself, and I always request nitrous oxide sedation during my own dental treatment. I completely understand where patients are coming from, and I will always go out of my way to create a dental experience at Renew Dental that is welcoming, inviting, comfortable, and accommodating. As an adolescent, I had congenitally missing teeth, which created gaps in my smile, and I was teased as a child. After visiting an oral surgeon and orthodontist I finally had a smile I was proud of, and built up the confidence to join my cheer squad. It’s come full circle since now I’m helping to build that same confidence I received in others!
I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I take pride in my craft, and promise to be your personal cheerleader when it comes to dental health. Dentistry is not a job, it’s my hobby!
I also believe in being a lifelong student. As a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, 8 District Society and Academy of General Dentistry, I believe it is important to continue my education, as dentistry and technology evolves, so I can give the best care to my patients.
In my free time, I love playing tooth fairy to my nieces and nephews, visiting the lake with my husband and friends, traveling, and being a mom to my precious fur babies!
