Sometimes if you jump straight to veneers - you get in trouble. Things don’t turn out as ideal because the teeth, the gums, the pulp of the teeth, and the midline are in the wrong place. This is especially important in younger patients. For cases like these - I recommend 10-20 weeks of clear aligners first so then we can then prep the teeth as little as possible to get the desired result.

My patient had had braces before but she was frustrated with the end products.
Ortho-restorative allows us to be able to truly control as much as possible while keeping the teeth healthy.

And that — I love. ❤️

It takes a little longer — but it’s worth it in the end.

One of the instructors asked me how did I hear about the
Kois Center…. who did I know that had gone before me?

The truth was I didn’t know anyone. I had just seen, back in 2021, that all my favorite dentists on Instagram had gone through the program so I signed up not knowing what I was getting myself into.

I’m so thankful that I’m impulsive because it was exactly where I needed to be to fall deeper in love with dentistry and understand the WHY behind everything.

I was always getting in trouble in dental school and now I understand WHY it’s because so much that we learned just didn’t make sense to my brain and now that it does, I’m having so much fun.

She came in with Kylie Jenner as her inspo — we took that energy and customized it to her face. A lot of people write off e.max as looking flat, but when you play with your block selection you can get a result that’s bright, vital, AND wear resistant.

No surgery. A little filler. And opening the bite. ✨

When teeth wear down over time, you lose vertical dimension — and with it, the structure that defines the lower third of your face. Collapsed profile, deeper folds, a smile that ages you.
But opening the bite was only part of the puzzle. We had to improve the relationship between the gum tissue and the teeth, block out old metal restorations — posts, cores, staining — all remnants of prior dental work done in another country that had left everything underneath dark and compromised.

Full mouth restoration let us rebuild from the foundation up. New vertical dimension. New facial proportions. A result that changed far more than her teeth.

These are the most complex cases I take on — and the most rewarding. Every decision matters. And when it all comes together, you remember exactly why you chose this work.

What game are you actually playing?

Because I used to watch other dentists “winning” and wonder what I was missing — until I realized I didn’t even know what they were building toward.

Some are sprinting to sell in 10 years. Some are optimizing for income now at the cost of everything else. Some are quietly building something that outlasts them.

None of those paths are wrong. But they look completely different in ex*****on — and if you’re measuring yourself against someone whose destination isn’t even yours, that’s not imposter syndrome. That’s a misaligned scoreboard.

The clearest thing you can do for your career right now is decide what you actually want your story to look like. Not what looks impressive. Not what’s working for someone else. What’s yours.

The most pesky teeth in the smile are the laterals. For so many people they end up being totally different from the rest of their teeth. Veneers are a great way to blend the laterals back into the rest of the smile.

In this case, we use 10 units of layered E-max Tuesday very designed very close to his original smile to give him a timeless masculine “you wouldn’t know I got my teeth done unless I told you” look.

SWIPE FOR CASE STUDY: One of the hardest things for dentists to do is PERFECTLY match one anterior tooth. My patient presented with PTSD from recently having trauma, a root canal, and a tooth that did not perfectly match her other teeth. Over a span of a few months, I gained her trust, we internally bleached the inside of her tooth so that it wasn’t so dark (I also removed a lot of residual pulp that was causing her tooth to be so dark). We closely studied the tooth and sent it to be made at one of the best labs in the country.
I also decided to perform a little bit of bone contouring to further mask the darkness at the gum-line by allowing more tissue to grow there.

When she saw the final result, she cried, I cried, my assistant, cried and it truly hit home on why I do what I do and why I am relentless in chasing the best dentistry i can provide for my patients.
