These medications slow down how quickly your stomach empties, which is one of the ways they help you feel full for longer. But before sedation, that slower digestion can become an important safety consideration.

Depending on your treatment plan and the type of medication you're taking, your Oral Surgeon may recommend temporarily pausing your GLP-1 medication before your procedure.
