Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic we will be closed until Monday May 4th. We will be checking voicemails and emails throughout the closure. We will be seeing patients for emergencies (e.g. poking wire, trauma, or pain) by appointment only. We are reaching out to hundreds of patients to reschedule this months appointments, but if you don't hear from us by your appointment date please call us to make sure we have an updated phone number. Patients please be sure to avoid sticky, crunchy or tacky foods such as caramel, taffy, gum, starbursts, skittles, licorice, ice, nuts, frozen chocolate, corn on the cob, bagels, chips, and jolly ranchers. Also avoid chewing on pens or fingernails and cut food up instead of biting into it. If you have a loose wire you can grab a pair of clean tweezers and maneuver it back into the bracket or band. if you have a long wire that is poking you, you can use clean nail clippers or wire cutters to clip the wire. If you have a loose bracket and it is not causing the wire to poke, call us so we can schedule a longer appointment to have it fixed when we open (this is not an emergency). If you have a loose band please call our office so we can schedule a longer appointment when we open to fix it. If the band can come off, you may remove it and clip the wire. You may also use orthodontic wax over any area that is bothering you. After we re open please call to reschedule if you or anyone you have been in contact with tests positive for COVID19, have a fever or a cough, or generally aren't feeling well. Please have the patient come in alone for their appointments as we want to keep the number of people inside of the office to a minimum.
