The Carr Ortho team had such a great time at the annual health fair at Marsh Jr. High School! Jillian, Shannon, and Dr. Carr loved getting out into the community, handing out goodies, and talking with students about the importance of brushing and taking care of their smiles. The students were so kind, excited, and fun to be around. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support our local schools and community!

🎉 Debond Day – Class II Correction Ahead of Schedule 🎉

This patient started with a full step Class II bite and significant overjet, and we were able to complete treatment ahead of the estimated timeline using braces and Class II elastics alone.

Cases like this are a great reminder of how powerful simple mechanics can be when paired with excellent cooperation.

With consistent elastic wear and well-executed treatment mechanics, we were able to:
🔹 Correct the full Class II bite to Class I
🔹 Reduce the overjet to an ideal position
🔹 Align the teeth and balance the smile
🔹 Finish treatment efficiently and ahead of schedule

Elastics only work if they are worn, and this patient did an outstanding job. That level of consistency makes all the difference.

When strong patient compliance meets good orthodontic mechanics, great results can happen faster than expected.

✨ Smile Transformation – Early Class II Correction with Invisalign First ✨

This young patient began treatment with a full step Class II bite, severely proclined upper incisors, and significant overjet. When the upper front teeth are tipped forward like this, they are more vulnerable to trauma and can affect both function and smile balance.

We treated this case with Invisalign First and Mandibular Advancement wings for about one year. The advancement wings helped guide the lower jaw forward during growth while the aligners worked to align the teeth and reduce the overjet.

A key part of treating cases like this is maintaining the proper angulation of the lower incisors. Keeping the lower teeth in a healthy position allows the bite to correct in a stable way without simply tipping teeth to camouflage the problem.

Through Phase I treatment we were able to:
🔹 Reduce the severe overjet and protect the front teeth
🔹 Guide lower jaw growth forward
🔹 Maintain healthy lower incisor position
🔹 Improve bite balance early in development

This case highlights the power of early intervention. Phase I orthodontic treatment allows us to work with a child’s natural growth, correct bite issues sooner, and create a healthier foundation for the future smile.
