This comprehensive workshop is designed to enhance clinicians' knowledge and skills in endodontic molar surgery, with a strong emphasis on the role and value of modern endodontic microsurgery in clinical practice. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the indications, techniques, and outcomes associated with microsurgical procedures, especially in challenging posterior cases. The course will cover a detailed step-by-step surgical protocol—ranging from case selection, flap design, osteotomy, root-end resection, retrograde preparation, and filling to post-operative management—empowering clinicians to confidently perform and manage molar surgical cases upon returning to their practices.
The below prerequisites outline the basic skills/knowledge required to successfully participate in this workshop:
Familiarity with the surgical operating microscope and its operation/calibration.
Knowledge and experience with apical surgeries.
Familiarity with conventional surgical concepts and practices.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize the indications, advantages, and success rates of endodontic microsurgery in managing persistent periapical pathology, especially in posterior teeth.
Learn a systematic approach to molar endodontic surgery—from diagnosis and treatment planning to ex*****on—emphasizing surgical techniques, instrument selection, and intraoperative decision-making.
Develop the skills and confidence to approach surgically challenging cases in daily practice by integrating evidence-based microsurgical techniques with modern technologies (microscopes, ultrasonic tips, biocompatible materials).
