Having a sophisticated piece of equipment is the first step but you need to understand your glass and adapt your firing parameters to achieve excellence. My glaze program is probably different than you have heard. My final temperature is as high as my dentin/ incisal firing. However the rate of climb is 90 degrees per min and I hold from 10 to 17 seconds depending of how many units are in the chamber.

This is the ceramic powder after being removed from the inside of my restorations. Keeping the “frosty” effect is wrong and the bonding will be compromised. Proper etching is using the correct acid, the right length of time, and to remove the ceramic powder in an ultrasonic cleaner for at least 10 minutes. I put my veneers and crowns in a canister with rubbing alcohol. Every step counts in dentistry. Improve them, master them from layering, firing ,etching and bonding to reach an incredible level of predictability and a high success rate.
