We are very happy to announce that we are opening our own dental office this year!
We decided to go with a start up and couldn’t be more excited to build a practice from the ground up!
We want to build a practice that shows our love and passion for dentistry, and the commitment we have to deliver high quality dentistry to our community.
Our office is going to be located in Long Beach; We want to keep it close to home!

😃Anterior Composites
For me is a challenge to get the right shade for composites. In this case I remove inter proximal caries and I rebuild some small incisal fractures.
To check the shade I always do a “mock up” with the possible shades. This also helps me to build the tooth to the shape I want and do a palatal and incisal putty matrix.
I show this mock up to the patient ad get an approval.
In this case I used Gænial A’chord, which has a simplified shade system that achieves 16 vita shades in 5 core shades.
I used A3 core for interproximal and A2 core for incisal.
I need to improve the polish🙄😰

😃😃 Material Selection in Dental Implant restorations
When we are doing implant restorations we have to have in mind several factors, for me this are the most important ones:
1. Titanium connection to implant
2. Subginigval portion of abutment should be biocompatible to soft peri-implant tissues: Titanium and Polished Zirconia
3. Thin soft peri-implant tissues Zirconia abutment over titanium
4. Customized abutment and restoration
5. Final restoration that has the ideal mechanical and esthetic properties: Lithium Disilicate or Zirconia
Anyways don’t believe learn from people that really know about this, like

I know the gingival level in this case is not ideal, I hope I can do better next time.

😃😃Selección de Materiales Restaurativos en Restauraciones
Cuando seleccionamos materiales restaurativos para implantes debemos de tener diferentes factores en mente, para mí estos son los más importantes:
1. Conexión de titanio.
2. Porción subgingival de aditamento debemos de escoger un material que sea biocompatible a los tejidos periimplantares: titanio o zirconia pulida
3. En tejidos periimplantares finos o delgados utilizar zirconia.
4. Aditamentos personalizados
5. Restauración final con características mecánica y estéticas ideales: Disilciato de Litio y Zirconia

De cualquier manera no me crean a mi sigan a personas que saben más sobre este tema:

Se que el margen ginigival no quedo en la poisición ideal, espero poder mejorar para el próximo caso.

😃😃How do you pick the shade if you are doing a full mouth rehab or all the anterior teeth?

🎨🎨My approach regarding shade selection in this type of cases is to guide my patients in to a more natural look and show them the different shades we can use; but at the end I chose what ever they want.

💎💎In this case I recommended and B1 or OM3, but my patient chose OM1

🎯🎯Extra-tip: I always ask your patients to sign a consent if they like the color, shape, size of the teeth after doing the try-in and before the final cementation.

😃😃Le permiten a sus pacientes seleccionar el color en rehabilitaciones completas o casos de todo el sector anterior?

🎨🎨La manera en que yo lo hago, es tratar de guiar al paciente a un colo más natural, mostrándoles los diferentes colores que podemos utilizar; sin embargo al final lo dejó a su decisión

💎💎En este caso yo había rcomendado B1 o OM3 y mi paciente escogión OM!.

🎯🎯Extra-tip: Siempre les pido a mis pacientes que firmen un consentimiento después del try-in y previo a la cementación, dond afirman que estan de acuerdo con la forma, color y tamaño de los dientes.

😃😃 Implant Placement for Overdentures ⬇️⬇️⬇️

🔩In this case I placed four Hiossen implants for snap-on overdentures using the help of the Straumann Pro Arch Guide.
🎯 This guide helps me as an orientation for the implant angulation. It has reference lines for three different angles: 0o, 17o, 30o.
📐I tried to place them as parallel as possible, with 0o degree angulation.

🔩 En este caso coloqué cuatro implantes Hiossen para sobredentadura con locators.
🎯 Utilicé la guía Straumann Pro Arch como orientación para la angulación de los implantes. Tiene líneas de referencia para tres diferentes ángulos: 0o, 17o, 30o.
📐 Trate de colocarlos paralelos entre sí, con una angulación de 0o.

😃😃Digital Impression for Partial Bonded Restoration⬇️⬇️

🧐I’ve been exploring more the digital dentistry, I still have a lot to learn!!
💻In this case I did two e-max bonded restorations, the impression was taken with .
📷There are lot of advantages I see with digital impressions:
🔵Faster and better communication with the lab
🔴More comfortable for the patient
🔵I can review my work in a more efficient way, this allows me to make corrections and to improve from case to case.
⬆️⬆️There is still a lot of room to improve in my treatments, hopefully digital and adhesive dentistry can help me to provide better treatments to my patients.

😃😃Impresiones Digitales para Restauraciones Parciales Adheridas.
🧐Ultimamente he estado epxlorando más la odontología digital, todavía tengo mucho por aprender:
💻En este caso realicé dos restauraciones adheridas de emeax, las impresiones fueron tomadas por Itero.
📷Hay muchas ventajas que nos brindan las impresiones digitales:
🔵Mejor y más rápida comunicación con el laboratorio.
🔴Más comfortable para el paciente.
🔵Puedo revisar mis casos de manera más eficiente, lo que me permite realizar correcciones y mejorar en cada caso.
⬆️⬆️Todavía hay mucho por mejorar en mis tratamientos, espero que la odontología digital y adhesiva me ayude a brindar mejores tratamientos a mis pacientes.

😃😃Zirconia Bridge👇👇

💎💎 Zirconia is an excellent material for FPD (fixed partial dentures).
I chose for this case zirconia with facial cut back and porcelain layering; the reasons for my choice are:
1. The abutment teeth are very dark, so I need a more opaque material to hide the shade of the teeth.
2. Polished zirconia has great adaptation to soft tissues, so it will be great for the pontic area.

💎💎 Zirconia es un excellente material para prótesis parciales fijas. Escogí para este caso zirconia con cutback y estratificación de porcelana vestibular por las siguientes razones:
1. El color del pilar esmuy obscuro, por lo cual necesito un material más ópaco para ocultar el color del diente
2. La zirconia pulida tiene una excelente adaptación a los tejidos blando, por lo que es mi material de elección para pónticos y restauraciones en implantes

😃😃Implant Placement for Upper Overdenture
⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️In this case I placed four implants for an upper overdenture with locators.
I used a bone reduction guide and a surgical template limited to the pilot drill.
💀💀The bone reduction guide helps me to level the bone.
🎯🎯I like to use a surgical template limited to the pilot drill to have an orientation of the implant position. 🧐It also gives me more freedom in case I need to do modifications in the surgery, as I did in this case where I had to modify the position of one of the implants.
😕🙃Sorry that I don’t have more pictures of the surgery, but I had to focus more on the surgery than the pictures.

😃😃Colocación de Implantes para Sobredentadura Maxilar
⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️En este caso coloqué cuatro implantes en el maxilar superior para sobredentadura con locators.
Utilicé una guía de reducción ósea y una guía quirúrgica limitada a las fresas piloto.
💀💀La guía de reducción ósea me sirve para nivel el reborde alveolar y crear mesetas para la colocación de implantes.
🎯🎯Me gusta usar guías quirúrgicas limitadas a la fresa piloto , para tener una orientación de la posición del implante. 🧐Además me da más libertad en caso de tener que modificar la cirugía, en este caso tuve que modificar la posicieon de uno de los implantes.
😕🙃Perdón si no hay más fotos de la cirugía, pero prefiero enfocarme más en la cirugía que en las fotos.
