Dear Friends,
Hard to believe that it's been a year since I retired. I tried to postpone retirement as long as possible, but health issues finally forced my hand. After retirement, I spent the next six months with doctors & hospitals, making two trips to Cleveland, finally culminating in aortic valve replacement on May 3 at the Cleveland Clinic. The next seven months were spent recovering & rehabbing. I now go to the health club daily & have made great strides toward improved health. What made things easier was the support I received from family & friends. Especially Mickey, who never left my side & gave constant support during the whole difficult year. But, all's well that end's well.
Speaking of family, our grandchildren range from 2-15. All different as day & night, but all wonderful in there own way. They range from oldest at Stevenson High School all the way to the youngest attending pre-school. All excelling & each different & unique .
One of the things that gave Mickey & I piece of mind was turning the practice over to a wonderful compassionate person & outstanding dentist. The decision weighed heavily on our minds, but fortunately we made the right choice. I have just completed extensive dental treatment by Dr Alkass & can report that not only is he painless, but the quality of his work is second to none. Of course, having the old crew, Lorraine,May & Mona there made me feel like I never left. The addition of Claudine was a big asset to "Smiles on Elston".
Finally, I again want to thank you for your unwavering support & loyalty to me & Mickey, especially the last ten years that were pretty rocky with health issues. We were so fortunate to have so many wonderful people in our lives the last 46 years.
Warm regards & have a great holiday season.
Woody & Mickey Malitz
