Nothing is perfect.. except for this smile!

My hygienist was interested in correcting some small imperfections in her smile. She presented with a small chip on the facial of #9 and a composite filling on the facial of #10 with visually evident margins.

We removed the old composite on her lateral incisor and completed a small enameloplasty with a starburst pattern on her central incisor.

We restored both teeth using packable composite and polished using the Super-Snap Rainbow Technique Kit.

We were both extremely happy with this perfect result!

Mesiodens is a supernumerary, or extra, tooth inside your child’s mouth. Most often, the location of this tooth is behind the central incisors in the palate area, better known as the two upper front teeth. Having mesiodens accounts for only about one percent of the population, so it is a relatively rare condition.
