Here is a new smile for one of our wonderful patients! She came in wanting 2 veneers. We discussed options, costs, esthetics, and time. After she saw her teeth on our new software program, she decided she wanted twelve new teeth to even out her smile. This took two appointments, one week apart.

Yesterday was National Toothbrush Day! Dr. Bebar celebrated by meeting some of our neighbors in our office building and handing out toothbrushes.

What’s the best toothbrush to use? We say the one you will use the most! There are lots of good brands but the electric toothbrush studies seem to prove they remove the most plaque. Come in for a personal recommendation from any of our dental hygienists - Ashley, Karyn, and JoAnn are a wealth of knowledge!

Question - What do dentists call X-rays?
Answer - Tooth Pics. 🤣

Not true! We call them radiographs and they help us detect decay, bone loss and abnormalities before you even know they exist! Modern digital X-rays emit up to 90% less radiation than traditional films and gives us clearer images to aid in our diagnosis. Techniques used now are quicker and more comfortable for patients.

Did you know we offer same day crowns? Our new mill is up and running and Dr. Bebar and Natalia made the first zirconia crown last week for a wonderful gentleman. A zirconia crown is a highly durable, metal-free dental “cap” made from zirconium dioxide, a tough type of ceramic. It is widely used to restore broken, weak, or severely decayed teeth. Zirconia is extremely resistant to chipping, cracking, and daily chewing pressure, making it ideal for back teeth. And it’s beautiful!

The Magnificent Smile has been built on treating patients like family, starting in 1957 when “Dr. Joe” Schwarz established this practice. Here is Dr. Ingrid Schwarz with her brother Joe, in front of the new art work that was installed today. This picture shows Michigan Avenue in 1925. Dr. Joe was born in 1925 and he always dreamed of having an office on Michigan Avenue. Full circle moment!!
