It’s been wonderful connecting with so many awesome colleagues in the airway space, and we are truly grateful for everyone’s support in making this dream come to fruition. 🥰

Tongue-ties can significantly alter one’s quality of life. A proper release is essential. Notice in this picture that you can see the genioglossis muscle clearly, with all of the surrounding connective tissue (fascia) removed. There is no collateral burnt tissue at the border of the incision. The muscle can know function without restriction. The next step after this is suturing the open wound so to ensure proper healing.

Lip-tie releases are often necessary so that when orthodontic treatment is completed the two front teeth don’t get pushed away from each other by the lip-tie causing the gap in the front teeth to come back 👄
