Chesapeake Care, Inc. benefits from a partnership with VCU Dentistry's Service Learning Program which allows the clinic to expand its level of care while providing senior dental and dental hygiene students a chance to gain real-world experience by providing much-needed oral health care to patients who would struggle to access it elsewhere.

The students shown here dedicated their time and skills to providing restorations and extractions for uninsured patients while Dr. Lon Meader provided oversight and support throughout their visit. We are thankful for their commitment to service and helping to provide quality dental care to those who need it most!

Last Friday, August 28, was another wonderful day of caring for our community at Chesapeake Care Clinic!

We were grateful to welcome VCU School of Dentistry students JC Whisonant, Calvin Yeager, and Mohammad Alfouzan, who spent the day providing dental services to our patients. It was wonderful to see these future dentists put their knowledge and skills into practice while serving those in our community who need care.

We were also thankful to have Mrs. Stull with us, providing dental cleanings and helping our patients leave with healthier, brighter smiles. ✨

A special thank-you goes to Dr. Horning, who not only captured the day through his photographs but also generously shared his time and expertise by precepting the VCU students.

It takes a village to provide compassionate, accessible care, and we are so grateful for everyone who gives their time, talent, and heart to make these days possible. Together, we’re creating healthier smiles and a healthier community. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make Friday a day of learning, service, and smiles!
