We have some bittersweet news to share with our dental family. 💙
After 45 incredible years in dentistry, Sherri will officially be retiring on June 1, 2026.
Over the years, so many of you have come to know and love Sherri not only as your hygienist, but as a familiar face and friend. While we will be celebrating her more fully on her final day with our team, we wanted to first share a special letter written from Sherri herself to the patients and families she has cared for throughout her amazing career.
A letter from Sherri:
Dear Patients & Friends,
It is with both a full heart and bittersweet emotions that I share some personal news. After 45 wonderful years in dentistry, I will officially be retiring on June 1, 2026.
Looking back, it’s hard to believe how quickly the years have flown by. After graduating high school, I attended Chattanooga State and became a certified dental assistant. After 11 years of assisting, I returned to school to earn my Bachelor of Science degree and became a dental hygienist. I never could have imagined just how much I would come to love this profession and the people it brought into my life.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for so many incredible patients and families. Some of you have been with me for more than 35 years. What began as patient relationships often turned into lasting friendships, and for that, I will always be grateful.
It has also been such a blessing to work alongside Dr. Henderson for the past 17 years. His dedication to providing the latest technology, exceptional care, and a beautiful environment for both patients and staff has made my career even more rewarding.
As I prepare to close this chapter and begin a new one, I want each of you to know how deeply thankful I am for your trust, kindness, conversations, laughter, and loyalty throughout the years. While this goodbye is emotional, it is also exciting because this next chapter is still unwritten.
I hope you will think of me from time to time, because I know I will be thinking of all of you often.
With love and gratitude,
Sherri
