Meet Dr. Lima 🦷💕
We’re so excited for you to get to know Dr. Andrea “Lima” Lacerda de Araujo Lima, DDS, our wonderful pediatric dentist!
Dr. Lima earned her dental degree from Faculdade de Odontologia de Nova Friburgo – UCC in Brazil in 1998. She completed a Pediatric Dentistry Residency at U.V.A. in Brazil, and after moving to the United States, she completed a second Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She has dedicated her career to pediatric dentistry since 1998.
Dr. Lima’s love for pediatric dentistry began with her father, who inspired her to become a dentist because of her ability to care, connect, and love children. What she enjoys most about being a pediatric dentist is watching young smiles grow over the years and helping children build confidence in caring for their teeth.
Her philosophy of patient care is simple and heartfelt: “I treat every patient as if it was my own child.” She strives to create the best experience possible so every child can grow into a fearless adult with a healthy and beautiful smile. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is helping a frightened child leave the office with a proud smile. 💗
Originally from Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dr. Lima has mad Charlottesville Va her home, with her husband and their son. Her family is incredibly important to her, and she also has a special place in her heart for her beloved rescue dog, Bella, whom she rescued when she was just two months old. 🐶❤️
When she’s not caring for little smiles, Dr. Lima enjoys traveling, hiking, fitness, photography, music, and volunteering. She loves spending time outdoors with her family and hopes to participate in a mission trip in the future. She is also a certified yoga teacher and proudly served as a 1st Lieutenant pediatric dentist in the Brazilian Navy.
