It is the goal of our pediatric dentist, Dr. Monique McEachern and our Orthodontist, Dr. Robert Selden, to

What kind of toothbrush is best for brushing your baby’s teeth? 🤔🪥

You’ve probably seen the silicone toothbrushes marketed for babies. They’re usually fun shapes and colors! These can be great for getting your baby familiar and comfortable with brushing and massaging their gums prior to teeth erupting. 👍

But once teeth have started to come in, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a soft-bristled toothbrush with a small head, preferably one designed for infants, to remove plaque bacteria that can lead to decay.

As the child grows, the size of the toothbrush head should increase 😊
