Dr. Kong Vang and children live in Locust, North Carolina. He served in the United States Army and is a veteran of Desert Storm, where he received the Bronze Medal of Accommodation and the Middle East Medal. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1995 and spent two years working for the Federal Government researching uterine and breast cancer. He was then accepted into Tufts Univers

ity Dental School in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2001, he moved to North Carolina and had a successful practice in Matthews, North Carolina. In October of 2006, he opened Brookdale Dental Care. Dr. Vang is compassionate when it comes to his patients. His down to earth, charismatic personality usually eases the most apprehensive patients. He takes his time talking to patients, explaining procedures, and makes the patient aware of each step during the visit. Dr. Elizabeth Hoy grew up in the suburbs outside Philadelphia. After high school, she moved to University Park, where she obtained her Biology degree from Penn State University. During her time there, she played rugby, and was a member of the national championship team. She then completed her dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh. After graduation, she furthered her training by completing an optional one year general dentistry residency at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. For the next four years, she worked as a general dentist at a community health center in Tampa, FL serving the underserved patient population in that area. Dr. Hoy is currently an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Hoy was recently married in January 2016 and lives with her husband and their rescue dog, Stella, in NoDa. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and playing volleyball. Theresa- Office Manager
