JODI FROM THE BRONX.

The OG hygienist at our flagship Elizabeth shop.

Unofficially responsible for starting the original Upstate NY → Charlotte pipeline. Pretty sure she was the first person to ever do it, and boy did she start somethin’.

The definition of a baseball mom. Die-hard Yankees fan. Probably a Cowboys fan too, because apparently you just pick the teams everyone else hates. Loves a beach — preferably one in Florida, and definitely as often as possible.

I’ve known Jodi for over 15 years. We met working at a “corporate” dental office and I think we both knew pretty quickly we were bound for better things.

And here we are.

Amazing hygienist. Amazing mom. Amazing person. One of those people you feel pretty damn lucky to have crossed paths with — and even luckier to still be doing this thing together 15+ years later.

Good is gettin’ rare.

LD has been gettin’ after it for 10 years now, and the biggest reason for our success….OUR STAFF. I haven’t highlighted them before, mostly because they despise cameras and pics and I could never get them to do a cheesy “dentist up front in white coat, chest puffed up, with his minions behind him in their scrubs” type of office photo shoot, which I respect. I’d never do it myself. So without further explanation, here’s our first staff highlight….LEIGH———————

Say “howdy” to Leigh, one of our Elizabeth hygienists-

Shelby born and raised. And yeah, you’ll know it about three words into a conversation with her.

30 years cleanin’ teeth and somehow still likes people. 😂

She’s rarely seen without a trucker hat, always has a smile on her face, loves the beach, and is never gonna argue with a glass of w**e when Thursday afternoon rolls around.

She says she’s retiring with us. Which is sweet and all, but we know the truth…

There’s not another dental office lettin’ her clean teeth in a trucker hat.

So yeah, she’s LD for life.

The waiting room has vintage racquets.
The playlist is carefully curated.
The staff is ridiculously dope.
And the dentist is unnecessarily tall.

SouthPark is officially hitting its stride, and the continued growth confirms it.

We’re doctor-owned, neighborhood-focused and community-driven—an old-school kind of dental office mentality with new-school methods. Conservative dentistry, honest recommendations and no pressure to fix things that aren’t broken.

Good people. Laid-back atmosphere. Really good playlists. Dentistry done thoughtfully.

I heard a lyric the other day that said, “Good is getting rare.”

Damn, that hit me hard.

With the dental landscape changing so damn quickly, I do think dentists and patients alike have gotten used to and even accepted rushed conversations, automated service, and doing just enough.

At Lineberger Dentistry, we’re building something different.

LD’s coach talk, chalkboard, Jim Harbaugh-ism…..

Leave it better than you found it.

Every tooth.
Every patient.
Every teammate.
Every community.

That’s the kind of “good” we’re chasing.

FAMILY dentistry. A concept we lean into at LD. Seeing kids age 3+ gives us the opportunity to truly get to know the entire fam, get them comfortable and acclimated to their dental home and what that looks like, and set the precedent for solid dental and general health from a young age. We can screen for potential issues with proper breathing, arch form/crowding, airway restraints, diet guidance, sleep…the list goes on and on. The real kicker??? Convenience for the entire family having everyone under one roof, comfort in knowing the dentist and staff, and of course, the LD custom TREASURE box.

LD fam, please help me in welcoming Dr. G to the Lineberger Dentistry lineup. She starts today at our Fort Mill location, and I feel truly blessed to have had our paths cross at a dental charity event a few years ago with the Panthers. Some info about our new associate below:

Gopali Patel (Dr. G)

-Born in Hendersonville, NC (basically Asheville)
-South Carolina undergrad
-Midwestern University-Chicago for Dental School.
-Moved to Fort Mill right after school, and have been practicing over 5 years at a practice here in town.

-Love spending time with my fam (1 brother and my parents)
-on my weekends and time off- I’m always searching for a new place to travel and explore.
-If I’m in town on the weekend or on a normal weekday - you may find me grabbing drinks / food around Charlotte with friends, getting steps on the rail in South End or running at the greenway in Fort Mill. I love to paint as well, a skill that proves useful when considering the artistic side of dentistry.

-Now let’s talk teeth - I’m well versed at making patients with high anxiety feel comfortable in the chair, and I take a lot of pride in that. I truly enjoy a more casual approach to practicing dentistry, and cherish getting to know not only my staff like family, but also the patients. I’ve worked in a corporate setting before, and learned a lot about how I DO NOT want to work and treat patients, and am truly blessed to have crosse paths with Dr. Lineberger a few years ago at a dental charity event he was putting on. In looking for my “forever dental home”, I was looking for a family based dental practice, loyal patient base, great staff, great location, all in a welcoming, happy, laid back environment, and I believe I’ve struck gold in this case. I couldn’t be more excited to be joining Lineberger Dentistry - Fort Mill.
