It is so rewarding to change someone’s smile. Especially someone who has such an amazing transformation and all they can say is that they wish they would have done it years ago. This patient was already so outgoing so I cannot truthfully say that her new smile changed that but it was so great to see how after we were done she just couldn’t stop showing off her teeth. I love it when we get to see our patients smile that much more and the confidence a brand new smile brings!

Sometimes it takes time for patients to decide on how they want to approach their smile. We originally had a plan to address any cavities that came up, to keep the gum tissue healthy and to repair any broken teeth as best as we could. This was our plan for many years with this patient. By doing that we were able to keep his mouth comfortable and out of pain. The function was working against us though and things were breaking more and more and in worse ways. Eventually he got to the point where he wanted to fix it in a predictable way where things would not only look amazing but would last and hold up to his function. By addressing the entire system, we were able to create harmony in his smile. Now he has an amazing smile with the new restorations AND his altered bite and function have been corrected. Such an amazing result!
