At Mason Dental, we care about the health and well-being of our patients and their families. In response to the current Coronavirus pandemic, we would like to assure you that we are actively following guidelines from the CDC, American Dental Association, WV Department of Health, and the City of Charleston.
Per OSHA standards, we have always utilized thorough infection control practices including dedicated hand washing, use of disinfectants, sterilization practices and personal protective equipment. In addition to our regular cleaning practices, we have implemented more frequent cleanings of doorknobs, switches, and other frequently touched surfaces. We anticipate being open during our regularly scheduled hours, but will reevaluate as needed in order to keep our staff and patients safe.
In order to reduce the potential for transmission of the disease, effective immediately, we are implementing the following preventative steps in addition to our regular standard precautions:
-Please reschedule your appointment (cancellation fee waived) if you or a family member is experiencing fever, sore throat, dry cough and/or shortness of breath. In this case, please stay home and contact your primary care physician.
-If you have recently travelled internationally or to an area with widespread transmission of Coronavirus, please reschedule your appointment.
-You may call the office at 304-400-4835 upon arriving to our office and wait in your car rather than our waiting room. We will come to your car or call you back when we are ready and will lead you directly to a treatment room.
-We ask that you attend your appointment alone or limit non-essential persons accompanying you to only one (1) person, if necessary.
-We will be removing magazines, books, and other "community" items from our reception area. As needed, pens will be given for single use only to fill out forms.
-Upon entering the office, we ask that you wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer and allow to air dry.
We appreciate your understanding as we navigate these rapidly changing circumstances and will strive to keep you informed of any details that may affect our ability to meet your oral healthcare needs.
Thank you for being a part of Mason Dental.
