Parents truly are the MVPs of cavity prevention! Keeping your child’s smiles healthy isn’t about one big deep clean every six months, it’s a daily effort. Some practical tips for clean teeth 👇

💛 Keep brushing for them way longer than you think: Kids don’t have the fine motor skills to properly brush all the surfaces of their teeth on their own. Even as they get older, take over the nightly brush or do a thorough “parent check” until they are around 8 or 9 years old.
💛 Floss daily before bedtime: Cavities love to hide between tight little teeth where brushes can’t reach. Make daily flossing a non-negotiable part of the pre-bedtime routine, and handle it for them until their dexterity catches up.
💛 Do a water rinse after snacks: Sticky snacks and fruit gummies are a cavity’s best friend. Have your kids chase sugary treats or midday snacks with a quick sip of water to wash away lingering residue.
💛 Play a two-minute song: Turn the brushing routine into a race against the clock. Pick a high-energy favorite track so everyone stays on task for the full recommended two minutes.
💛 Lead by example: Brush your teeth right alongside them. Kids naturally want to mimic what they see you doing, making your healthy habits the best blueprint they can follow.
