What an honor to be recognized as one of 40 under 40 honorees.

Story Time…….

At the time when I was growing up in North East Georgia, being exposed to African American culture was slim. My parents provided cultural experiences for my sister and I, and pretty much forced me to follow in my dad’s foot steps and attend . While attending FVSU, I was surrounded by so many things that I didn’t know I needed and these encounters, have provided life long lessons and memories.

After completing dental school, one of my goals was to own my own dental practice. In 2020, I began the journey of doing so. Filled with excitement and fear of the unknown, I was quickly met with 2 big obstacles that made me question if my timing was right. I found out a few months into planning for the dental practice that I was pregnant with twins, which would be my 3rd and 4th child. As well as, we were in the middle of the COVID pandemic, that slowed down construction and people going to the dentist. Wow!!!!! Most people would have quickly thrown in the towel but I knew that everything I was going through had a purpose and I had to stay the course. With consistent encouragement from my wonderful husband, family and close friends, Serene Dental Solutions has been in business for 3 years.

I hope by sharing part of my story that someone is encouraged to open their own business. Stop finding reasons on why you can’t and just do it. Your community needs you!

I’ve missed you guys and thanks for sticking around.

Being a mom of 4, a wife and entrepreneur ain’t easy, but I am loving every minute of it. As 2022 quickly comes to a end, I am excited about what 2023 is going to bring and engaging with my IG followers again. Happy Holidays!
