At Collective Health Society, our goal is to create a different kind of dental experience—one where patients feel heard, understood, and cared for as a whole person, not simply treated one tooth at a time.

We ask more questions. We look deeper. And we consider the connections between your oral health and what may be happening throughout the rest of your body.

We’re incredibly grateful to our patients who are willing to share their experiences and help others discover that dentistry can look different.

Your mouth is connected to your whole body. Your healthcare should be, too.

Inflammation doesn’t always start where you feel it.

Your gums are highly vascular and closely connected to the rest of your body. When harmful oral bacteria and chronic inflammation are present around the teeth and gums, the effects may extend far beyond your mouth.

Research continues to demonstrate associations between periodontal disease and systemic conditions involving cardiovascular health, metabolic health, cognitive health, pregnancy outcomes, and chronic inflammatory burden.

That’s why bleeding, swollen, or tender gums aren’t something we simply write off as a “dental problem.” They can be important clues about what’s happening throughout the body.

At Collective Health Society, we look beyond teeth and cavities to evaluate the health of the oral environment—and how it may be influencing your overall health.

Your mouth is connected to your whole body. Your healthcare should be, too.

A dental X-ray shows us a lot. A 3D CBCT scan shows us what may be happening beyond the teeth.

That’s why a CBCT is part of every new patient evaluation at Collective Health Society.

This advanced 3D imaging allows our doctors to evaluate:

• Areas of suspected or hidden infection
• Existing root canals and potential areas of concern around them
• Jawbone health, bone loss and bone density/volume
• Airway anatomy and dimensions
• Sinuses and nasal anatomy
• Impacted or unerupted teeth
• Wisdom teeth and their relationship to surrounding structures
• Existing dental implants
• Bone and anatomy for future implant planning

For us, it’s not about taking more images—it’s about having the information needed to make more informed, comprehensive treatment decisions.

At CHS, choosing an implant isn’t just about replacing a missing tooth. We consider how that material will interact with your body for years to come.

Both titanium and ceramic implants have been used successfully in dentistry, but ceramic implants are fantastic options for their biocompatibility, favorable interaction with the surrounding soft tissues, metal-free composition, and natural esthetics.

And we take it a step further.

Because every patient is biologically different, CHS offers individual biocompatibility testing to help evaluate how your body may respond to the materials being considered for your care. Rather than assuming one material is right for everyone, we can use testing alongside your health history, clinical findings, and individual risk factors to help guide treatment decisions.

That’s the difference between simply replacing a tooth and looking at the bigger picture.

Considering an implant—or wondering about an implant you already have? Call 303-223-2343 to schedule a consultation.

Cavities aren’t simply about how much sugar you eat—or how well you brush.

Tooth decay is a biological process influenced by the environment inside your mouth. Your saliva, oral microbiome, nutrition, immune response, genetics, hormones, lifestyle, and other factors can all influence whether your teeth are able to protect, repair, and remineralize—or whether mineral loss begins to win.

That’s why two people with similar brushing habits and diets can have completely different experiences with cavities.

At Collective Health Society, we look beyond the cavity itself. Through a biological and root-cause approach to dentistry, we evaluate factors such as oral bacteria, saliva, nutrition, inflammation, airway and overall health to better understand why disease is occurring in the first place.

Because treating the damage matters. Understanding what created the environment for that damage matters, too.

Want to understand what’s happening in your mouth on a deeper level? Ask us about comprehensive oral system exam and oral microbiome testing.

Your chronological age tells us how many years you’ve lived. But how well is your body actually aging?

A new study following participants from the Framingham Offspring Study for more than two decades found that accelerated biological aging in midlife was associated with increased risks of cardiovascular disease and mortality.

In women, researchers found an additional signal involving cognitive health. Women classified as biologically aging faster had:

• 1.8× the risk of cardiovascular disease
• 2.1× the risk of dementia
• 1.8× the risk of death

The dementia finding varied across analyses and requires further research, but the broader takeaway is important: two people can be the same chronological age while their bodies are aging very differently.

And the conversation about healthy aging may start in more places than you think—including the mouth.

The oral microbiome is part of a much larger biological ecosystem. When that environment shifts toward dysbiosis and chronic periodontal inflammation, the effects may extend beyond the gums. Broader research has associated periodontal disease and certain oral pathogens with systemic conditions including cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline.

That’s why Collective Health Society takes a more connected approach to health.

By bringing biological dentistry and integrative healthcare together under one roof, our collective of providers can look at factors that are too often evaluated separately—from the oral microbiome and chronic inflammation to metabolic, cardiovascular, hormonal, bone and cognitive health.

Because healthy aging isn’t simply about adding more years.

It’s about staying healthier for more of them.
