***BREAKING NEWS***

Dr. Mullins, after working so hard and caring for everyone's smiles for the last 29 years, is retiring! He is excited to start the next chapter in his life with his wife, Lisa, who is also retiring this year and we wish him nothing but good things for his future endeavors (we're sure some sort of time on golf course record will be set)!

All of our Team is staying to support the new Doctor so you will see all the familiar faces you're used to. The new face with be Dr. Nathan Barton, who is assuming care for all your wonderful smiles and ours. Dr. Barton is a long-time resident of the area, has been practicing for 15 years and is married with four lovely children. We think once you have the chance to meet Dr. Barton you'll feel as comfortable with him assuming our patients' care as Dr. Mullins does.

We look forward to seeing each of you in the coming months so you can be part of the next chapter in our office!

Q: Besides appearance, is there any reason why missing teeth really need to be replaced? 🤔

A: There are several! Most people with missing teeth are primarily concerned with what they can feel and see: Difficulty chewing and speaking, and yes, having confidence in their appearance.

What you can't feel or see is jawbone loss, which is a very serious concern. In the same way that muscles are maintained through exercise, bone tissue is maintained by use. Natural teeth are embedded in the jawbone, and stimulate the jawbone through activities such as chewing and biting. When teeth are missing, the jawbone no longer receives the necessary stimulation, and begins to break down and goes away. This causes multiple significant consequences.
