Dr. Esther Levine Pincus attended Barnard College of Columbia University, where she was voted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and graduated summa cm laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the prestigious Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After dental school, Dr. Pincus returned to her native roots in Long Island, completing her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Cohen Children’s (LIJ) Medical Center of Northwell Health, where she was chief resident of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Pincus is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Northeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the New York Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Harvard Odontological Society, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Dr. Pincus’s research interests include dental education, which she has presented on at national conferences.

Dr. Pincus is a Long Island native, born and raised in West Hempstead, NY and now resides in Oceanside with her physician husband and her four children.

Dr. Pincus is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry, where she teaches dental students and pediatric dental residents appropriate treatment plans for pediatric patients and supervises patient care.

Dr. Pincus has practiced in New York, Connecticut, and Chicago. Her goal is to make visits stress-free for parents, while providing the best dental treatment for children. In her spare time, Dr. Pincus runs half marathons, practices yoga, and loves to spend time with her husband and children.

Fascinating story today. Had a 8 year old patient today for routine dental examination and took a which is usually taken between six and nine years of age. Upon taking this radiograph I noticed two small round opaque artifacts in his nasal passages. I asked the child if he ever placed anything up his nose to which he denied and said nope. Re-took X-ray and after further questioning he admitted to placing 2 small round blue magnets up his nose 3 years ago or so when he was five. Dentistry is as important as regular medical checkups and this is one prime example of such. Luckily we caught this and was referred to ENT for evaluation and removal 🤩

Parents often ask for a white instead of a silver or stainless steel crown. YES we do offer them at but they are not the best option for very child. White or zirconia crowns require a lot more tooth reduction this requiring most of the time a pulpotomy or baby root canal while silver crowns do not. Silver crowns are more forgiving and take less time than a white one. Additionally, most children are not able to sit for this longer procedure. We always strive to offer the best and safest treatment options for our patients in our office
