Subjective: Patient is a severe grinder and clencher who developed a traumatic fibroma on the inside of his lower lip. He complains of discomfort and irritation from the fibroma, which he constantly bites and rubs against.

Objective: Examination reveals a smooth, firm, pink nodule on the mucosal surface of the lower lip, measuring about 1 cm in diameter. No signs of infection or malignancy are observed.

Assessment: Diagnosis of traumatic fibroma, likely caused by chronic trauma from bruxism and lip biting.

Plan: Patient undergoes incisional removal of the fibroma under local anesthesia. The lesion is excised with a scalpel and the wound is closed with sutures. Patient is instructed to avoid biting or rubbing the lip, and to apply ice and take analgesics as needed. Patient is scheduled for a follow-up visit in one week to remove the sutures and evaluate the healing. Patient is also advised to seek treatment for bruxism to prevent recurrence of the fibroma or other oral complications.

Yesterday was an eventful day for me, my team, and our patient who underwent a transformative All-On-X surgery. Our patient received a new set of temporary teeth on the same day, which was a remarkable feat. Successful wisdom tooth extraction and cyst removal. Our 32-year-old patient required the removal of their #17 wisdom tooth, which was angled downward as seen in the before photo. The tooth was carefully sectioned and removed without damaging the surrounding area. A large cyst had formed around the tooth, making extraction urgent. At their 1-week post-op visit, the patient reported only minor discomfort on the first day. The procedure was performed using only local anesthesia and no opioid painkillers were prescribed.
