Dentist at work, dentist at home. There’s really no clocking out 😂🦷

We asked Dr. Bohkari what being a dentist changes about the way he parents.

Dr. Zaidi’s dental take: string floss wins this one. 🦷

Floss picks can be convenient, but traditional string floss gives you more control to curve the floss around each tooth and clean below the gumline—areas that are easy to miss when you’re limited by the shape of a pick.

That said, the best floss is still the floss you’ll actually use consistently. 👀

Are you team string floss or team floss pick?

“You are treating a person not a patient.” This is the most important part of being a great clinician, and this is what Dr. Zaidi tells all his residents. And you bet we practice what we preach here at The Advanced Dental Center of Cedar Knolls.

This approach even works on adults. We have countless examples of adults telling Dr. Zaidi, “I’m not scared anymore” after meeting with him and understanding his dental approach and experiencing his patient care. If you have dental anxiety, this is your sign to trust us.

A core practice of our dental office is mentorship. When not with his son and family, Dr. Zaidi spends his free time mentoring the next generation of dentists. Without confidence, even the most knowledgable student won’t be able to perform — it’s part of a mentor’s job to remind students they’re ready, trained, and they got this!
