The Fly Armory

I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble these get into after the whole order ships out!

Definitely going to be tying a few of these for myself when I get a chance.

those foam cutouts definitely simplify and clean up the process a bit.

I doubt there’s a baby bird who’s ever felt so Fly!

Bird Fly in Baby Bird Flavor

When you rob an old nest and a couple quail eggs for photo props 😅

Tied on a 1/0 BGC with a 20mm predator shank up front using 300D - 1/0 hair stacker thread from to keep that deer hair locked in place.

I think one of my fall/winter fishing goals is to convince a brown or rainbow to eat one of these night fishing! We’ll see how that venture goes!

Thank you everyone we had a great time at this years Readings Fly Shop Home Waters event Niangua Outdoor Days!

This year was definitely not one to miss out on. Not only did we have fun and find some great deals, but we had a great time seeing and catching up with familiar faces as well as making new acquaintances and connections!

Thank you for the great event and especially Darin Jacober… talk about a rep that shows up and busts his butt to get it done and make it happen!!! We missed seeing you bummer you had to rep elsewhere during that time, hopefully we’ll catch you on the next one!

We ABSOLUTELY LOVE fish pictures from clients and friends that buy flies!

South America trip to chase Golden Dorado and Pacu in the jungle… absolute bucket list dream trip!

Glad you had such a fantastic trip and the flies performed so well for you Charlie!

Tri-Lakes Fly Fishing Expo isn’t far off.

We will have our booth there with everything from flies to feathers, shirts to hats, and of course Jessi’s custom hand crafted jewelry! Come by, say hello, and see what’s new!

We hope to see you there!

Haven’t been keeping up with the FB page the best lately with all the orders rolling through. It’s been a great “problem” to have though. We’ve had orders intended for up in Alaska, to down in South America for Columbia, Mexico in between, and then some.

It’s been a busy year at the vise so far and it’s not over yet. Here is some of what we have been up to!

Aside from Jessi and myself raising and processing birds to Jessi’s dad helping build hutches and runs or Jessi’s mom looking after newly born birds. I can’t think of anyone that’s helped us make The Fly Armory into what it is today than Tim of Tim's Fly Shop.

You were our first sale of quail skins and our second “those worked really well I’m going to need 20-30 more”. You invested in us from the beginning and we greatly appreciate the support over the years!

Thanks to all that have helped spread the word!

This weekend Friday 24 and Saturday 25 we will be at the White River Fly Fishers Expo at the Missouri Branson/Hollister Lions Club Hall with our booth and all the goodies. Bird Skins, Flies, Shirts, Hats, Travel Cups, Key Chains, Jessi’s Custom Jewelry, and more.

Also DeWayne Robar (Jessi’s brother) will be there Saturday offering sharpening services. Fly Tying scissors, sewing scissors, knives… there aren’t too many things I’ve not seen him able to put an edge on.

We hope to see you there!

Well, Jessi has done it again. We have changed the website. We had a few complaints recently about how the checkout process wasn’t working well. That changed today, along with the url. We now have www.theflyarmory.com up and kicking!

What is The Fly Armory? We specialize in feathers. Specifically for fly tying, and custom flies from soft hackles all the way to musky/pike flies (including salt-water). Message us with all orders not available on this website. We are not a distributor. Everything we sell, we personally make/process...

Hollow Fleyes = Full Hearts

Had a day to get out on the water and chase some fin with Bade. We didn’t hook into any giant striped fish but we got into some schoolies with attitudes bigger than their stripes 😂.

I stuck a nice walleye that absolutely wrecked a hollow fleye with a grudge to settle. That walleye named Wally would not stop curling its tail for the camera which was amusing!

And while searching for a monster striper Bryan caught a 10-12”smallmouth on a 9” Beast Hollow.
Small Mouths… Big Attitudes!

To say the least it was a great day of river therapy!!!
