To Our New Waverly Place Dentistry community,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and in good spirits. While many things have changed in these last few months, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your wellbeing and safety.
We are thrilled to announce that we are in the process of reopening our office. A considerable amount of time has been spent making changes and updates like: scheduling patients who have been experiencing emergencies or lost their appointments, creating flow through the office to maintain social distancing, cleaning and disinfecting the entire office, educating our staff concerning all enhancements to infection control policies and proper use of PPE, verification of the multi-layers of our sterilization process, etc. We want to reassure you that infection control has always been a top priority for our practice.
We will continue to follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
路 Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You鈥檒l be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
路 We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
路 You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children鈥檚 toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
路 Our treatment rooms will be considered as operating rooms, allowing only the patient and clinical staff members in at any time. We also ask that you do not bring anybody with you to your appointment. Allowances will only be made for minors, patients with special needs or the elderly. The accompanying care taker will still be required to remain in the waiting room during treatment.
路 Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you鈥檙e offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
路 We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF A DENTAL EMERGENCY, please do not call the office quite yet to make an appointment. Our office administrators will need time to schedule patients experiencing emergencies and those whose appointments were cancelled. They will be contacting you shortly and we appreciate your patience.
Although there have been parts of the quarantine we have enjoyed, we look forward to seeing our wonderful patients again soon!
Sincerely,
Drs. Jenkins & Tyson and staff
