20 years ago today, Dr. Schabel & Dr. Chan took over the practice that was started by Dr. Bob Matlack in 1966. It’s been an incredible 20 years serving Santa Cruz County, and we look forward to many more years ahead.

It’s been amazing watching Hana grow from a little girl to a 14-year old phenom snowboarder who finished with an overall ranking of🥈at the US Nationals in 2025. Follow on her journey as she travels the world chasing her dream, and maybe we’ll see her at the in the French Alps in 2030. We’ll be cheering every step of the way!

This year, our office brought back our annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest, where we invite local dental offices to show off their gourd-geous creativity! 🎃

This year’s entries were nothing short of amazing, from spooky to silly to downright spectacular! 👻

Our patients helped us crown the winner by casting their votes in the office and online, and it’s safe to say we had an amazing turnout.

After tallying all the votes, it’s time for the moment we’ve all been waiting for… 🥁 drumroll please… 🥁

🏆 Pumpkin #14 from Pajaro Valley Children’s Dental Group in Freedom takes home the win! 🎉

Huge thank you to every participating office for bringing your creativity and festive spirit. To our amazing patients, thank you for voting and joining the fun!

We can’t wait to see what everyone dreams up next Halloween season! 🧡
