Today is World Health Day and Two Lights Dental is partnering with Renew Health and to host a CIMT Scan Day on 5/5/26, from 8-4pm.

A Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) scan catches 98% of heart attacks or strokes before they occur, it is painless, radiology free and takes about 15mins. A standard carotid ultrasound looks for blockages and calcified plaque, the CIMT looks at the thickness of the artery wall and the build up of soft plague, allowing for an earlier detection and the ability to possible reverse symptoms before they develop into a serious health risk.

There are two options to sign up for, the first is $249, you will get your report with the findings emailed to you for you to take and discuss with your doctor. The other option for $399 will give you access to a 1 hour call with a cardiologist and MD to discuss your results and talk about some options to help reverse the damage to your arteries and how to avoid a heart attack or stroke.

• 30 years or older
• Family history of heart attack or stroke
• Overweight
• Smoker
• High Blood Pressure
• Diabetes
• High LDS or low HDL Cholesterol
• Little or no exercise
• Sleep Apnea

The CIMT (Carotid Intima-Media Thickness) test is unique in that it will detect arterial blockages that are less than 50%. Allowing for early detection and intervention in order to prevent future heart attacks or strokes.

This test is:
* Painless
* Relatively inexpensive
* Requires no disrobing
* Free of radiation
* Completed in about 10-15 min
