At Dentistry for Kids and Adults, our hygienists are vital members of our clinical team who play an essential role in making sure that our patients receive the timely and ethical care they need and deserve. Here, you’ll have the necessary time, tools, and support from the entire team to deliver outstanding, personable care to every patient. Beyond providing direct patient care, you will be instrumental in helping our patients feel confident with their decision to choose our practice as their new dental home.
Assist dentists in gathering the information needed to make sound diagnosis and treatment recommendations, including accurate medical and dental histories, dental radiographs, intra-oral pictures, and relevant personal information.
Act as a patient advocate by connecting, establish rapport and learning how their dental needs fit into the rest of their life.
Help patients understand their dental condition in plain English and provide the information they need to make informed decisions about their dental care.
Identify patients with unique or challenging dental needs caused by systemic diseases, such as diabetes, sleep apnea, acid reflux, dry mouth, and prescription medications, and educate them about their preventive and restorative options.
Perform head and neck exam to screen patients for the signs and symptoms of cancer and other serious diseases.
Use your innate ability to communicate with patients in an empathetic manner to help alleviate their fears and address their concerns.
Coordinate with other team members to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and productive visit for every one of our patients.
We are looking for an energetic and outgoing person who loves to help people and strives to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of others. We value strong communication skills and ability to relate to others in an empathetic and positive way. Applicants must have an active dental hygiene license and be able to deliver local anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide sedation. Experience is helpful, but we will give you all the tools, additional training, and support you need to succeed.
This position is available for full-time and part-time.
