It is with the greatest pleasure that I write to introduce myself and express my gratitude and excitement at having the opportunity to provide dental assisting services for you and your family. I am Bridgette, I began my career in the education system working with special needs children at a school for the physically and mentally handicap for seventeen years. After retiring from the education system, I wanted to follow my dream and work in the dentistry field. I graduated in 2017 with my dental assisting certificate with x-ray certification then I began my career in dental assisting. Two years into this newfound passion came a relocation to Tennessee where I developed an interest for oral surgery, which I have enjoyed for the past three years.

I am an ARMY wife, a mother of four, (24, 23, 22, 19) and a grandmother to five grand-animals. Some of my passions include traveling, reading, spending time with family and sports. Dental assisting has a way of being rewarding due to the fact that it can improve someone’s oral health, self-confidence, and quality of life. The dentistry world allows me to never stop learning, improving, and expanding on my assisting skills. Technology and flexibility are a must have when working in patient care. Due to a wonderful opportunity, I will be working in general dentistry again as the Clinical Supervisor at Cameron Family Dentistry with by Dr. Galatas DDS, Dr. Connell DDS, and Office Manager Mrs. Christina along with supporting staff where we will strive to give the best care possible to our patients.

The fall colors, the cool crispness in the air ,pumpkin spice all around, It must be Autumn! The end of the year is rapidly approaching, and soon everyone will be busy with holidays and family gatherings. Once the business is in full swing, it becomes difficult to schedule necessities such as doctors' appointments, which tend to fill up fast.

One thing to consider is that even though premiums for dental insurance have been paid throughout the year, either personally or by an employer, insurance companies do not refund unused benefits or carry them forward from one year to the next. In other words, dental insurance companies have thousands of dollars reserved for beneficiaries that they keep if no claim is filed!

The good news is that even though most dental plans expire on December 31st, there is still time to use dental insurance benefits before losing them. Insurance companies count on making billions each year by not paying claims to the beneficiaries who have already paid their premiums. Be sure to take advantage of the money insurance companies have already set aside that you are entitled to.

From cleanings to fillings, or even getting started on more involved dental work, we can help maximize the dental care you are still eligible to receive based on the coverage policy. We are always happy to answer any benefit questions to the best of our ability.

Don’t wait until it’s too late—call us today at (910) 436-1922 to schedule an appointment before the holidays. For information on all the services we provide, please visit our website: www.FamilyDentistryNC.com

*****PLEASE NOTE*****

Based on recommendations and guidance from the CDC, governor Cooper’s office and the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners, dental practices have been advised to limit patient treatment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is recommended that dentists practicing in North Carolina voluntarily suspend nonessential or non-urgent dental care until March 30, 2020.

This unfortunately means that routine cleanings, fillings and the like will be postponed. However, if pain is present or if an accident occurs, such as a chipping a tooth, dentists are allowed to restore or remove a tooth that is emergent in nature.

Unless the recommendation changes from the aforementioned sources, we will resume patient care on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Additional information regarding this pandemic is available at:

We wish all humanity well during these challenging times and look forward to seeing you soon!

As the nation's health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health, safety, and security threats.
