With over a decade of experience, Dr. Sahar Abtahi is a board-certified orthodontist known for creating beautiful, confident smiles. She earned her dental degree and residency at Boston University, followed by a Master’s in Orthodontics from the University of Alberta.

A former professor and published researcher, Dr. Abtahi blends clinical precision with a warm, personalized approach. She’s also a dedicated volunteer, having provided care through global outreach programs.

Dr. Ashira Gendelman is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics for adults and children. A native of Lexington, MA, Dr. Gendelman graduated with honors from Wellesley College with a degree in Biology before earning her DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She then completed her postdoctoral specialty training in orthodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, as well as a Master of Medical Sciences at Harvard Medical School.

During her 7 years at Harvard, Dr. Gendelman was awarded for clinical distinction, published several peer-reviewed research articles, and received extensive training in dentistry and orthodontics.

Dr. Gendelman focuses on using state-of-the-art technologies and techniques to deliver optimal aesthetic and functional results. She is committed to providing her patients with the highest quality orthodontic care and is honored to have been awarded “Best of Boston” every year since entering private practice. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, as well as a member of the Harvard Odontological Society and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Outside the office, Dr. Gendelman enjoys studio art, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She lives here in Cambridge with her husband and their three young children.

General duties include: archwire changes, assisting doctor with band fitting and bracket placement, digital Itero scanning, bonding of Invisalign attachments, diagnostic records, impressions, light lab work, light cleaning, ordering

8 hour shift
