With the temperatures getting a little cooler, it makes it difficult to get an accurate temp scan in our parking lot. We have taken our signs in the lot down and invite our patients to come into the office. However, to continue in our efforts of keeping everyone safe, we still request that you wear a mask into the building & keep a social distance from other patients. Our check in team will still be asking COVID questions, and taking temps. We continue to ask that only those with appointments come in the office (unless accompanying a minor), and if you are experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms that you call to reschedule. Thank you all as we continue in this pandemic together in providing a safe environment, and care for all our patients and team.

To our Patients,

The past few months have been a stressful and scary time filled with concern about what the future may bring. Snyder Family Dentistry is blessed to serve Byron Center and our surrounding patients and we do not take this for granted. We have always placed the health of our patients and our staff as our top priority and we will continue to do so. We are excited to begin seeing patients on June 1st, 2020 and look forward to providing exceptional dental care to all our patients. For those whose appointments had to be canceled due to the closure, we have missed you and we will be contacting each and every one of you to get you rescheduled. We do ask for your patience as we had to cancel/postpone over 2,000 patient appointments. Please understand it is our desire to see everyone again but understand the logistics of addressing our situation. We will be calling to reschedule missed appointments in the weeks ahead, if you desire to stay “socially distanced” from our office for a little longer we completely understand and we will continue to see you as you feel comfortable.

As a dental office we have always used robust infection control protocols, but given the nature of COVID-19 we have implemented additional safe-guards to protect our patients and staff. The following is a list of some changes:

1) We have removed all magazines, books and coffee from the reception area and installed sneeze guards at the front desk

2) We ask that patients stay in their cars upon arrival at our office. We will have you text or call our office upon arrival and one of our team members will meet you in the parking lot.

3) We will be temperature scanning ALL staff and patients, preferably before you come into our office.

4) We will continually sanitize the “high touch” areas in the waiting room and throughout the office.

5) We are trying to limit the number of people in our waiting room, ideally only the patient comes into our office. In the case of young children, parents will be allowed into the operatories but we ask that you do not bring siblings that do not have appointments. If childcare is a problem we may ask that your other children remain with you in the car.

6) Our entire staff will be wearing masks and we ask that you do also when entering and exiting our building. We ask you also hand sanitize on the way into our building, it will be provided.

7) We will be trying to limit the number of patients checking in and out during the same time and may alter your appointment start time by 5-10 minutes to do so. We are trying to support patient distancing as well as leaving extra time for sanitization of the operatories.

8) Our team will wear additional personal protective equipment to keep everyone safe and we have been trained on the latest practice for minimizing transmission of COVID-19 per the CDC.

We are blessed to be able to serve the patients that call our office home. We value the trust and loyalty you have shown us through the years. We have missed YOU, our patients, and look forward to delivering the exceptional dentistry and compassionate care we are known for.

Thank you!!

Dr. Steve, Dr. Scott and Staff

We are closing to stay in accordance with Gov. Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-17, it states:
Facilities covered by this order that perform dental procedures must postpone, at a minimum, any cosmetic or aesthetic procedures, like veneers, teeth bleaching or cosmetic bonding; all routine hygiene appointments; any orthodontic procedures that do not relieve pain or infection, restore oral function, or are not trauma-related; initiation of any crowns, bridges, or dentures that do not relieve pain or infection, restore oral function, or are not trauma-related; any periodontal plastic surgery; extraction of asymptomatic non-carious teeth; and recall visits for periodontally healthy patients.
If a dental facility chooses to remain open, its plan must exclude from postponement emergency or trauma-related procedures where postponement would significantly impact the health, safety, and welfare of the patient.
