When you’ve got braces, you’ve got to start the day off right to ensure you have all the energy you need to keep your braces in tip-top shape throughout the day. What better way to do that than with delicious pancakes?

This recipe from creates the perfect, tasty vessel for chocolate chips, blueberries, bananas, whipped cream, and whatever else you like to enjoy with or in your pancakes.

You’ll need:
🥞 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
🥞 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
🥞 1 tablespoon white sugar
🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt, or more to taste
🥛 1 ¼ cups milk
🧈 3 tablespoons butter, melted
🥚 1 large egg

To make them:
🥞 Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt together in a large bowl.
🥞 Make a well in the center & add milk, melted butter, & egg; mix until smooth.
🥞 Heat a lightly oiled griddle or pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle.
🥞 Cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry, about 2 to 3 minutes.
🥞 Flip & finish cooking. Repeat until the batter is gone.

When Chelsea began treatment, she had a severe overjet, a deep overbite, significant crowding, and a narrow arch. After treatment with braces and a Herbst appliance, she now enjoys a healthy bite, beautifully aligned teeth, and a confident smile.
