Happy Father’s Day to all of the loving, devoted dads! 🤗
I know I am so blessed with the father I have. ❤️ He is kind, loving, funny, fun, and I know always there when I need him.
Knowing my recital is coming up, he said we’ll plan Father’s Day around open studio 💃🏻 don’t worry. 🥲 He’s currently letting me use his car while my AC gets looked at for the second time in the last two months.
My memories and time with him are so precious to me, and I appreciate him so much. Dads, you are so important. I hope you enjoy your day!! 🥰

So grateful for another summer vacation to South Padre Island with family. ❤️ Thanks to my in-laws for always being so generous in sharing their timeshare with me and my husband. This year we had our niece with us too, and we all had a blast! ☺️
Great food as always. Some of my favorites include Joe’s Oyster Bar in Port Isabel, Cafe on the Beach, and F&B. 😋🤤🍽️ We were fortunate to have generally good weather with just a couple rainy days and one quick shower at the beach and the view of a rainbow after. 🌈
We saw several moon jellyfish 🪼 but everyone stayed good. 🫶 At least got one good Spurs win in and got to see the Spurs in the finals at SPI for the first time in a long time. 🖤
And just had the time to slow down a little bit (always hard for me 😅💃🏻🤪) and get some R&R. Grateful for my team holding down the fort. 💓🦷

I am so grateful the whole team was able to come together for a team meeting (our assistants work different days of the week)! 🥰
We are so proud of Miranda who graduated this past weekend with her bachelor’s degree! 👩‍🎓🥳🎉 She is aspiring to eventually become a dentist and has been balancing school with working with us on Fridays.
We are happy to have Pear currently completing her dental assistant externship with us; she is so eager to learn and has been fabulous with our team and our patients. 😊
I like to have meetings so we can pause from the routine and always be identifying how we can continue to grow and excel to be serving patients as best as possible, giving exceptional experiences, and assuring our team is happy and we have an exceptional working environment, as well.
I truly feel so appreciative for the team I have, the wonderful spirits they all bring, all they to contribute to my small practice, and for our many amazing patients who entrust us with their care. 💗

I surprised my husband, Rick with concert tickets for No Doubt (one of his favs) as a Christmas gift after our dental assistant, Miranda (who is from Vegas) told me they would be reuniting and performing there at The Sphere. 🎸🎫
It was his first time to Vegas and my second time (first time being alone and primarily for work). We also got to see “O” by Cirque du Soleil, one of Vegas’ longest running shows, and it did not disappoint! 👏🏼
I also decided while I was there to try flying trapeze at the Las Vegas Circus Center and aerial conditioning at Craft Motions, and both were great experiences. We had fun checking out the Museum of Illusions and trying different local restaurants.
This was our first flight ✈️ together since our 5 year anniversary trip almost 3 years ago. Grateful for a great vacation. 🥰
Don’t forget to have retainers and/or guards on your packing lists and to be current with your check-ups as much as possible before trips! ✔️😊

Happy Mother’s Day!!! 👩💓💐
Many of my patients are mothers who have put everyone ahead of themselves, but mothers- you absolutely deserve all the love and care that you give and to feel good in receiving it!! 💓
I am so grateful for my mom, who embodies both strength and compassion. I have always felt her unconditional love. She is a caregiver and animal lover and spends so much time taking care of others. She shows exceptional morals and empathy and is truly so special. 😊🫶
I hope all the loving mothers feel appreciated today and every day! 💝

April is Oral cancer takes the life of one person in America every hour in every day. Oral cancer screenings are one of the many reasons to try to stay regular with your dental visits. 💗 Your dental care providers should screen for oral cancer at least once a year. At Darling Dentistry, we will do a screening with every exam, and we include oral cancer screenings with our savings club. ✨

When detected early, oral cancers can have an 80 to 90% survival rate‼️ Unfortunately, most are found as late stage cancers, and this accounts for the high death rate of about 43% at five years from diagnosis and high treatment-related morbidity in survivors.
To***co is one of the well established risk factors, so avoid to***co use. Excessive alcohol use has also been associated with an elevated risk.
Exposure to human papillomavirus version 16, also responsible for a large amount of cervical cancers in women has also been identified as a cause of oral cancer. Use sunscreen to help protect yourself from lip and other types of skin cancers. A small percentage of people get oral cancers without a currently identified cause, but likely related to genetic predisposition or a shared frailty or shared risk factor that has not yet been identified.
