We’re excited to welcome Dr. Alayna Kucera to our growing dental family! Born and raised right here in McPherson, she’s thrilled to be caring for the smiles of the community she calls home.

With a gentle touch, a love for people, and a passion for oral health, Dr. Kucera brings fresh energy and hometown heart to our practice. From childhood dentist visits in McPherson to now serving the same families she grew up with—her journey has come full circle, and we’re so lucky to have her!

We are excited to announce our Scholarship Opportunity at Buhler Dental Care!!

We believe in supporting the future of education, no matter what field you plan to pursue. Whether you’re headed into healthcare, engineering, the arts, or anything in between, we want to help you on your journey!

🔹 Who can apply?
High school seniors planning to attend college or a trade school.

🔹To be considered for the scholarships a student must:

1. Be an active, well rounded student who is involved in their school and community

2. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA

3. Have a minimum ACT score of 20

4. Be Involved and active in at least 3 different groups (ex: music, performing arts, debate, athletics, community, etc.)

5. Complete an essay-Including:
*High School accomplishments
*Current and future contributions to your community
*Future plans with your education
*250 words or less

🔹Scholarship applications can be picked up from your high school counselor
Packets must be received by:

Tuesday April 1, 2025

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of applicant essay, application quality, scholastic excellence, community service and activities.

🇺🇸 Happy Presidents' Day from Buhler Dental Care!!🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the leadership and legacy of our nation's great presidents. Just as they took care of our country, we're here to take care of your smile!

Here are a few fun dental facts about U.S. presidents from the past:

🇺🇸George Washington:
Contrary to popular belief, George Washington didn't have wooden teeth! His dentures were made from a variety of materials, including ivory, gold, and even human teeth.

🇺🇸Thomas Jefferson:
Jefferson was known for his obsession with oral hygiene and had a tooth-cleaning kit with tools for scraping and polishing teeth. He also believed that teeth should be regularly scrubbed with salt.

🇺🇸Abraham Lincoln:
Lincoln had a reputation for not paying much attention to his teeth, and he struggled with dental issues throughout his life. It's said that he once had a painful tooth extraction before a speech and was reportedly in considerable discomfort during the address.

🇺🇸Grover Cleveland:
Cleveland had a secret dental surgery in 1893! While serving as president, he had a tooth removed and a prosthetic inserted while aboard a yacht off the coast of Long Island. This procedure was kept a secret for years.

Presidents may have had varied dental care routines, but it’s clear that even some of the most powerful figures in history struggled with oral health!
