In the midst of Covid-19, we are all spending more time inside. Only floss once a week? Now would be a great time to start the habit of flossing at least once a day!

Dear Patients,

As your dental health professional, your health and safety are our highest priority. Amid the growing concerns about COVID-19, our practice is adhering to the recommendation of the CDC and the President’s White House Coronavirus Task Force Member, Dr. Deborah L. Brix, to postpone any elective surgery through the end of March.

Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow dentists to care for emergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments.

Patients with emergency dental care needs should contact our office at 770-945-7186 extension 5 or [email protected]. Emergency dental care may include:

● Any treatment for pain, swelling, infection
● Chipped, cracked and broken teeth
● Restorations that are loose or displaced

Our practice will be taking every precaution to implement procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of those patients that do come in for emergency appointments. However, we ask that dental patients with appointments refrain from coming in if they have:

■ Fever
■ Currently have a cough or shortness of breath
■ History of significant chronic illness
■ Compromised immune system
■ You or a family member are considered high-risk
■ You or a family member have travelled to a location with a level 3 travel health notice
■ Airline travel in the past 2 weeks
■ Previously asked to self-isolate or self-quarantine
■ Close contact to an individual diagnosed with COVID-19 infection

We will continue to closely monitor updates from the CDC, the ADA, the World Health organization and our state officials. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions about your oral health needs.

To our beloved patients,

We will continue to serve our patients during these uncertain times. We will be following all of the infection control policies set forth by the WHO,CDC, and ADA.

For our patients over 60, due to increased risk, we recommend rescheduling with us for a month out unless you have an emergency.

If you have been out of the country or not feeling well, please reschedule for the sake of our staff and other patients.
Please adhere to your appointment time and call us if you will be early or late.

From the staff at Buford Dental Associates, we want to thank each and every one of our patients for the kind words, flowers we have received and continued patience after we experienced such an unfortunate loss of our dear Dr. Jama Evans.

Our doors are still open Monday through Thursday 8-5 and we have a new dentist, Dr. Dhruva Patel who is eager to meet our amazing patients. We will continue to commit ourselves to providing excellent dental care to you and your families.

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we inform you our beloved Dr. Jama has passed away.
