Monica T. says:

"Oh my goodness! Dr. Vancil and his staff were night and day different from any other dentist's office that I've visited in terms of great attitude, true care and concern for the patient, and educating me on my own dental care. Dr. Vancil spent time explaining the basics of dental care, and what might be going on with one of my teeth. He took the time to understand my concern, and really look into the problem, as opposed to blowing it off as no big deal. I am SO excited that my entire family will now receive excellent dental care from Dr. Vancil and his staff!"

Thanks Monica, and thanks to all our great patients!

Ever wonder why sipping ice water can make your tooth zing? That sensation doesn’t come from the outside of the tooth itself, but from what’s happening deep inside. Tiny channels within the tooth, called dentin tubules, transmit changes that activate nerves, turning temperature shifts into sharp discomfort. It’s a microscopic process with a very noticeable reaction. If you're experiencing this kind of sensitivity, call +1 678-318-3191 to schedule a checkup.

Your gums can tell when you’ve been “too busy” to floss. Flossing removes plaque from places your toothbrush can’t reach, helping reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease. Just one minute of flossing daily can help remove plaque in hard-to-reach spots and support long-term oral health. Consistency in flossing makes a difference. Call us +1 678-318-3191 to schedule a checkup and keep your smile healthy.

You can protect your teeth by concluding meals with foods that do not promote cavities and may even prevent them. For instance, aged cheeses help prevent cavities if consumed at the end of a meal. Chewing sugarless gum stimulates the flow of saliva, which decreases acid and flushes out food particles. Rinsing your mouth and brushing your teeth after eating are important strategies to prevent cavities.

Make sure to consume plenty of:

-Calcium-rich foods, such as milk, yogurt, and cheese.
-Fresh fruits and vegetables for vitamins A and C, and for chewing in order to promote healthy gums.

Limit:

-Dried fruits and other sticky foods that lodge between the teeth.

Avoid:

-Sweet drinks and snacks.
-Steady sipping of acidic drinks for prolonged periods.
