The handshake may be a joke... but the advice isn’t. 🤝😄

The last few weeks of Invisalign treatment are some of the most important.
✨ Wear your aligners 20–22 hours a day.
✨ Wear your rubber bands exactly as prescribed.

The final weeks help fine-tune your bite and staying consistent will help you finish treatment as quickly as possible. We promise it’s worth it. 💙

Your child’s first orthodontic visit might be more fun than you think. 💙

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that kids have their first orthodontic checkup by age 7.

Most patients start braces or Invisalign a little later, often around ages 9–14, once more permanent teeth have come in.

But that early visit helps us check growth and development, monitor crowding, bite issues, spacing concerns, jaw growth, or habits that may be easier to address sooner rather than later.

And yes… sometimes the appointment ends with a dance party. 💃🦷✨

Not every Invisalign provider has the same level of training, experience, or comfort treating complex orthodontic cases with clear aligners.

If you’ve been told you aren’t a candidate for Invisalign, here’s what to look for when seeking a second opinion:

✔️ A Board-Certified Orthodontist
✔️ A Top 1% Invisalign Provider with extensive experience treating Invisalign cases
✔️ A provider who can show you results from cases similar to yours
✔️ A practice that uses advanced digital treatment planning and customized treatment plans

Invisalign can do much more today than it could years ago, but success depends on the diagnosis, custom treatment planning, and the expertise behind it.

That’s why we always encourage patients to ask questions, review before-and-after photos, and seek a second opinion if they’re unsure about their options.

Here’s my orthodontist-approved toiletry bag checklist:

✔️ Spinbrush battery-powered toothbrush with soft bristles
✔️ GUM Orthodontic Wax
✔️ GUM Interdental Proxy Brushes
✔️ Platypus Orthodontic Flossers
✔️ Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouthguard
✔️ Toothpaste
✔️ A fun toiletry bag to keep it all together - this one is from Scout!

Most of these are easy to find at Walmart or on Amazon, and having them packed ahead of time can make it so much easier to keep teeth clean, protect braces, and handle little orthodontic emergencies while away from home.

Save this before you pack! 🦷✨
