Today we said goodbye to our dedicated lab magician Rachel. She has been a dedicated part of our team since 2008 and we can’t possibly thank her enough for all of the things she brought to our office in addition to her wicked skills and artistic ability. Retainers can be replaced but Rachel leaves big shoes to fill! We all wish you the BEST of everything in your new endeavor!

Uh oh... got a pokey wire?😬

Here are a few quick tricks that can help:

🦷Dry the area with a tissue or cotton swab before applying orthodontic wax. It sticks much better! Tip: Roll the wax between your fingers so it becomes soft and forms a small ball, then press it over the pokey spot.
🍬No wax? A small piece of sugar-free gum can work as a temporary fix.
🧂Rinse with warm salt water if the area is feeling sore.
