🦷 BRACES AFTERCARE 🦷
Happy !!!! This week we are discussing things that you can do to make the first few days after getting your braces on a little easier. 😃
1. Eat soft foods!
It is to be expected that your mouth will be a little sore the first few days after getting your braces. Eating soft foods like Mac n cheese 🧀 and mash potatoes 🥔 will be much easier to eat during this time!
2. Eat cold foods!
Eating cold foods like ice cream 🍦 and smoothies will help to ease the soreness and will be easier to eat as well.
3. Take Tylenol or Advil for pain!
Taking over the counter pain medication will help with the soreness the first few days. 💊 Anything that you normally take for a headache will work!
4. Use wax for sore spots!
When we first put on our braces, the inside of your lips will not yet be used to all of the metal. This can cause irritation and sore spots. If this occurs, just apply a small piece of wax to your braces where the irritation is occurring. Wax sticks best when the area is dry so try your best to dry off the area before applying. We will provide wax in your hygiene kit!! 🪥
