🦷✨ When is the right time to start orthodontic treatment?
The answer is different for every smile! 😁 Orthodontic care isn’t just about straight teeth—it’s also about monitoring how the teeth, bite, and jaws are developing.
👧 Around Age 7: A great time for a first orthodontic evaluation. An evaluation doesn’t automatically mean your child needs braces! It allows the orthodontist to identify concerns early and determine whether your child should be treated or simply monitored.
🌟 Ages 7–10: Some children may benefit from early Phase I treatment, such as an expander or limited braces, while others may not need treatment yet.
😁 Ages 11–14: This is a common time to begin comprehensive orthodontic treatment as more permanent teeth have erupted.
👩🦱 Teens & Adults: There’s no need to think you “missed your chance!” Braces and Invisalign® can be options for teens and adults too, depending on your individual orthodontic needs.
Not sure if it’s time? That’s exactly what a consultation is for! 💙
